MotD
Unless the highlights have been really cruel to Sunderland, they should be the ideal next opponents

I agree, talks shite most of the time and that accent is annoying.

Before the Palace game he said that playing three at the back was very risky and Bilic could well come unstuck or such like as some players had returned from international duty and would not have had time to practice the system (we have played the system many times last season)?

Then he said playing Kouyate as a centre back was just as risky as he hasn't played there before (played there for us with great effect last season and many times for Amderlecht)?

Pearce is Palace through and through. He used to drink in the Stag and Hounds in south croydon (long gone I believe) and was, frankly, a bit of an arrogant cock.

Re: MotD
He was miles better on the radio, in just surprised that, given the motd highlights commentary is usually massively re-edited and re-recorded after the game that he didn't change what he said

I loathe Trevor Francis's expert commentaries. He is a wanker 1st class.

'I don't mind most commentators but can't abide Pearce or Alan Green, the sound always goes off if its them 2'

How do you listen to the radio with no sound?

Brucies_Star_Prize 3:59 Mon Oct 17
Re: MotD
Pearce's assertion means he is one of two things:

1) an anti-West Ham troll who deserves any abuse he gets.

2) utterly clueless and unfit to commentate on football.

Neither reflect well on him.

Re: MotD
No MOTD2 last night as they've put it back to tonight to accommodate the Man U Liverpool game.

Mmmmm, if it was Burnley V Stoke or summat they'd never change the schedule me think.

BBC biased cunts.

Re: MotD
Commentator on my stream (whoever he was) said the same.

Few commentators change their mind on seeing the replay, even when it's obvious they got it wrong live.

I admit I got it wrong live, in that I wouldn't have given a penalty from my settee, but I wouldn't have given a card either.

His commentary yesterday was laughable. He's literally the only person I heard that said that Cresswell deserved the first yellow.

I don't mind most commentators but can't abide Pearce or Alan Green, the sound always goes off if its them 2, and is Shearer getting even more cuntish ffs someone should shoot the wanker

Can't fucking stand the shouty cunt. Never have done, not even his Captiol Gold days.

Shut commentator.

Personally, I don't think is particularly for or against us although he got it completely wrong yesterday.

What I hate is his style of asking a question but giving the answer in the same sentence as in: 'Did he trip him, I think he did you know!'

I like Pearce. You can sense the passion he holds for the game.

I respect all of that he may be a genuine diamond geezer but he is not good at his job I think he annoyed me last season too he seems in my honest humble opinion to be almost rooting for whoever plays West Ham these days, I feel that strongly.

I agree, he always had a soft spot for West Ham. However that might have been spoilt a little because I remember seeing a documentary about Bobby Moore and Pearce was really angry about how the club ignored Bobby in his later years. He and Bobby were good mates and always commentated together on Capital Gold, he has a few stories about driving to match somewhere with people constantly honking and shouting when they saw Bobby in the car.

I have divided loyalties but I certainly can't bring myself to slag off Pearce, he was always kind to us and listening to him and Bobby on the radio in the very late 80's/early 90's are some of my best West Ham memories actually.

Re: MotD
He's less hysterical now days.

Made me laugh when MotD experimented with a woman commentator and WHO was full of people slagging her off for being hysterical, when she wasn't even the most hysterical person on the programme.

I've always thought Jonathan Pearce had a bit of a soft spot for West Ham going back to his Capital Gold days.

Re: MotD
who cares, bloke made a mistake, is usually quite complimentary to the club, move on. the mistake by the ref is the one to be debated and scrutinised.
